MATTEO BOCELLI, the son of Andrea Bocelli, has felt honoured to perform at Madison Square Garden, the venue where late stars from Elvis Presley and Frank Sinatra to Michael Jackson and Freddie Mercury have performed.

Andrea Bocelli has been performing in New York at Madison Square Garden this week. The 63-year-old was joined on stage by his talented children Matteo Bocelli and Virginia Bocelli for duets too. His 24-year-old son, who releases his debut solo album next year, has shared some photos from singing at the famous venue.

Posting the snaps on his Instagram page of himself with Andrea and Virginia, Matteo relished the opportunity to perform at Madison Square Garden.
He captioned it: "Madison Square Garden is the world's most famous arena. You can feel a special aura here.
"Even during rehearsals with all the seats empty, you feel the energy of this place. Some of the biggest events in sports and music history were held here."
Matteo then paid tribute to some of the late stars and more who have made the venue so iconic over the years.

Matteo continued: "When you walk to the stage from the dressing room there are pictures lining the corridors of all the great artists who performed here before.
"Frank Sinatra, Elvis, Michael Jackson, Freddie Mercury and Elton John, just to name a few.
"It's a truly unique feeling performing here, and seeing this incredible audience in front of me moved me a lot."
The rising star thanked the team and fellow artists singing in the show for giving him such a "great opportunity" and most of all his father Andrea who gave him "the space to perform…and of course little Virginia."

Matteo signed off: "Thank you for letting me share my music with this audience, and with the city of New York.
"These were truly two unforgettable nights. I hope to see you again soon."

Yesterday, the rising star released a cover of White Christmas for The Today Show, which he accompanied on the piano.

The beautiful rendition was performed outside the Arena di Verona in Northern Italy, which is one of the last intact Roman amphitheatres around today.
Having already released his debut solo single, Solo, Matteo has announced his second one will be released worldwide on January 14.
The young singer wrote on social media: "I can't wait for you to hear it!"
Matteo Bocelli's debut solo album will also be released in 2022, but when exactly remains TBC.
