Should I Watch Batman The Animated Series If I Never Watched It Growing Up
The serial that finally got information technology correct!
We longtime (read "old") fans of Batman accept been waiting for a cinematic Batman that reflects the greatness of the comic books. Unfortunately, we accept had to put up with the worst attempts to realize this great character. The moving picture serials were atrocious, the Adam W evidence, although entertaining, treated the character as a joke. The Filmation cartoons and the Superfriends were watered down. The more recent movies are a mixed bag. Then, along came BTAS, and nosotros were finally satisfied.
Everything, from the look and tone of the animation, to the stories and voicework was first-rate. Batman is the Dark knight Detective. He's not a guy in a condom accommodate. He is skilled, intelligent, obsessed, tortured, and dedicated. The villains are evil, psychotic, and just obviously loopy. We have Paul Dini's wonderful creation of Harley Quinn, the first inspired and interesting character, since Denny O'Neil created Ra'due south al Ghul.
The creators took their cue from the legendary Flesicher Bros. version of Superman, with it's Art Deco stylings and darker color palette. It took its story concepts from the work of Pecker Finger, Denny O'Neil, Frank Miller, and Steve Engelhart. The music was inspired by the wonderful Danny Elfman music from the Tim Burton film. The voicework featured outstanding actors, with mature direction from Andrea Romano.
The only criticism I can level at the testify is that they avoided doing a complete episode revolving around Batman's origin. Granted, the broadcast standards and practices express how much they could show, but they found a fashion to nowadays Robin'southward origin, without sacrificing story. They did present elements, but I would have liked to have seen a consummate episode, with his training and "year one" adventures. The Superfriends episode, "The Fear" presented more of the origin than BTAS e'er depicted. Still, information technology didn't detract from the overall effectiveness of the series.
The series even improved on some of the elements of the comics. Personally, I never thought much of Bane, only I enjoyed the BTAS version, consummate with the Lucha Libre stylings; Bane as luchador hitman, archetype! The Joker was far more interesting hither than he had been for some time in the comics. The Riddler came across every bit mortiferous, rather than a joke. Alfred provided more than than window dressing.
This is the series that gear up the standard for all other cinematic Batman efforts. Thankfully, information technology removed the biting taste of Joel Schumacher.

The Pinnacle of Animation on Tv set
It has been a long difficult journey to mainstream media for comic book characters, but finally Batman fabricated it with fourth dimension to spare in Batman: The Animated Series (later renamed The Adventures of Batman & Robin). Groundbreaking animation, superior voice-over work, and top-notch stories have fabricated this serial into a creation too stupendous to call a "cartoon." Each episode was a wondrous, admitting night, trip through Batman'south world, and how he faces each and every obstacle Gotham Metropolis gives him. Much like an amalgam of all of Batman's two-dimensional incarnations, this serial' Dark Knight is tortured and driven, but not requite enough to give his enemies pithy comebacks and display romantic charms. Definitely, this is the way the Batman should and always be depicted.

What a FANTASTIC animated serial!
I loved every infinitesimal of this superb blithe series, and I am not afraid to say that out of all the animated shows based on the graphic symbol, this serial is without incertitude the all-time of the lot. The animation was fantastic, no better way to describe it really, very dark and fluid instead of the Sat- morning-cartoon standard that has marred animation recently. The theme tune past Danny Elfman was haunting and memorable, the same Danny Elfman who equanimous the music for Edward Scissorhands, which coincidentally is ane of my best favourite pic scores. Also the plot lines and teleplays are very interesting, and I loved the characters, especially Batman, who was dark, brooding and complex like he is supposed to be. And what almost the villains? Harvey Two Confront, Mr Freeze, the scarecrow, Penguin, and my favourite the joker, who Mark Hamill voiced superlatively, making him sinister and fun at the same fourth dimension. Though I was wondering, if the producers hadn't replaced their 1st option for the graphic symbol Tim Back-scratch, he would've done only as well. I happily honor Batman: The Blithe Series a 10/10. A True Masterpiece- the greatest body of animated work ever!
When Batman: the blithe serial came around, information technology didn't take people long to see that it was something different. Here was a "cartoon" that was written for adults. It could be viewed by older kids, only information technology had smashing depths for the adults who took whatsoever time with it. Each episode (or couple of episodes) acts equally its own mini-movie. The structuring of the story in each one is just so well executed. Every bit well, the blitheness (for its fourth dimension) was quite skillful, and yet holds up well enough today. Another difference from other animation, is that the colour palette is quite nighttime- which, again, only makes it more interesting. All of the not bad villains are here (and others you may non have heard of), but they get a very serious and, at times, philosophical explication. I of my favorite things most the series, is that every episode has its own orchestral score- meaning, the music that yous hear is tailored to fit the exact moment you are watching. Shirley Walker manages to come up with and then many sub-themes and variations on the chief theme- and works them in so well with the happenings on screen. For those of y'all that have seen the series and remember it fondly, you might be interested to know that a box-set of the first 28 episodes was recently released- you lot can get it just near anywhere.

The best superhero cartoon always.
This is every matter an chance testify should exist. Information technology has action, drama, comedy, tragedy and a truly Gothic feel (fitting that it takes identify in Gotham). The interesting thing about the Batman character is that the only reason he becomes Bruce Wayne is to make enough money to fund his Batman piece of work and to help the less fortunate. He's such a tragic graphic symbol as he's given upward a personal life for his parents dream. The stories are wonderfully intelligent and fun at the aforementioned time. At that place are very few poor episodes in this series (simply note that their are some). Even lame villains like the Clock Rex and Mr. Freeze are made engaging and exciting. Ignore the movies and watch the serial. Heck, at times it tin can even be much more than realistic than the movies (like in "I am the Night") Some recommended episodes are: "Nigh Got 'Im" (a poker game where Bat-Villain recount how they almost killed him), "His Silicon Soul" (a robot clone of Batman is a little too much similar Batman likewise do a computers evil behest) and "the Homo who killed Batman" (in which a small-scale fourth dimension crook has seemingly killed Batman... by accident)

The manner Batman is supposed to exist!
When this series beginning came out, I was at to the lowest degree eight years old; and so of course I wouldn't actually sympathise most of it with this beingness a drama and all... now I realize that this is the well-nigh accurate retelling of the Batman legacy EVER! Starting off, compare this to the horrid series they accept created at present: "The Batman," where they treat Batman like Superman by wondering who he is... information technology just doesn't measure up... allow me to explain the differences: i of which being the presence of Ethan Bennet. Who you lot inquire? I rest my example... there is none that I tin can call back.
Secondly, this one is perfectly parallel to the comics. There's no such thing as the bat-wave in the original, but in that location will always be the bat bespeak! Finally, the blitheness looks every bit it should. Joker is non in a direct jacket, The Riddler doesn't look like Bono from U2, and every voice actor sounds merely like they should.
To sum it all up, this serial was everything that "The batman" isn't... and that'southward a good thing.

A about perfect Gothic, comic book, superhero, detective series.
Warning: Spoilers
Batman comes to life in his best incarnation yet with stellar voice work, stunning visuals, rich stories, and the perfect emphasis on the dark knight'due south detecting skills and humanity. Kevin Conroy, sporting a preppy loftier vocalism for Bruce Wayne and a scary low voice for Batman, nails the duality of the dark night. He gives the character edge, centre, brains, and wit. Surrounding Conroy are some dandy actors with singled-out voices who follow his lead. Adrienne Barbeau(The Fog, Escape From New York), Ron Perlman(Hellboy), Ed Asner(Elf, besides two other great, but short livid animated serial: Spider-Man and Gargoyles), John Glover(Gremlins two: The new Batch, Scrooged), Roddy McDowell(Planet of the Apes), Richard Moll(House, Night Court, Spider-Human), John Vernon(Animal House), and David Warner(The Carol of Cable Hogue, The Omen, Gargoyles, Spider-Human) are perfect in their roles as is every other actor. The only major problem with the series is that it is likewise rich for a half hour. The all-time episodes are the ii part episodes like Heart of Steel, The Cat and The Claw, Feat of Clay, and Two-Face. The series could take used more than continuity equally well. The lesser line is that this is well-nigh as good as can be and a existent treat for any fan of Batman.

They Don't Make Them Like This Anymore
Perhaps the best animated series always. It provides great accuracy in the stories and characters, while allows innovation and imagination. They "pull no punches" and didn't try to make this a kiddy show. It became the trend setter for "Superman" and "Batman: Beyond", fifty-fifty though neither can compare.

Finally, someone got Batman correct.
Forget the camp & cheese of the previous Batman cartoons...this is a masterpiece! The depiction of Batman fighting both the psychos of Gotham Urban center and his inner demons spawned from the murder of his parents years agone is superb. For years Anime had proved that animation demand not be simply for kids. Batman: The Animated Series solidifies that decision.
Kevin Conroy has the perfect vox for both Batman and Bruce Wayne (at that place is a very obvious distinction). Mark Hamill gives the Joker sadism, sarcasm, and lunacy without resorting to goofiness. Efram Zimblast Jr. makes an excellent Alfred by existence loyal, yet openly concerned about his employer'south pick of career.
This series is coming to DVD soon - I'm getting in line!

A great "Batman"
I'm a comic volume reader. I also scout a lot of television set. "Batman" is one of the not bad shows that has everything we love about the DC Comics grapheme created by Bob Kane and Nib Finger combined with the visual aesthetics of modern-day television. I'grand not much a reader of DC'southward material (Marvel Comics and their Spider-Man and X-Men are my main interests), but Batman ranks equally my favorite grapheme from that particular company. While I'll concord that Batman has had a troubled history in terms of television and film (Tim Burton's 1989 "Batman" is my #7 picture of all time and is what got me interested in movies in the first place), I've besides noticed that he has a massive base of overly rabid fans, many of whom become sore at the slightest alter of the character. Well, this animated series appears to be an animation vision that they can finally exist pleased with. Of form, Gotham Metropolis billionaire Bruce Wayne witnessed the murder of his parents every bit a child, and grew upwards to become the mythical "Batman," the masked vigilante prowling the urban center's rooftops and taking out crime wherever it rears its ugly head. He's aided in his crime-fighting endeavors past his faithful butler Alfred while also nursing many personal demons. "Batman" carried over the 1989 motion picture's dark and grim tone, the aforementioned tone every bit the comics that inspired information technology, every bit well every bit the revisionist re-workings of Frank Miller (similar his epic "The Dark Knight Returns" and "Batman: Twelvemonth One"), and proved to be a hit with fans and those eager to forget the campy Adam W prove from the 1960s. With this darker approach to the grapheme, it's quite like shooting fish in a barrel to forget that this is a children's evidence, even though it's likewise quite obvious that information technology'due south aimed at a slightly older audience as well.
Regardless, this is a "Batman" that we can all exist proud of.

Batman at his best.
Batman the animated serial is one of the all-time cartoon series e'er. Originally aimed at immature viewers information technology also is a series that is watched only as much past adults.
This cartoon is dissimilar than most other cartoons. It is not just non stop activity with no plot. The plots of the episodes from this series were amazingly good, good enough to be used for drama series. The dialogue and voice over work was amazing and the animation always remains the same through much of the series, spectacular.
Batman is well portrayed in this series. He has no tolerance for anyone who violates the law. Relentless, he volition non stop until he has accomplished what he sets out to accomplish. Batman has no fear in this cartoon. Bruce Wayne is also well portrayed in this show. He is a more than than capable heir who keeps Wayne Enterprises running. Has a peachy sense of who to trust and what to do.
I of the best things about Batman in general has been his villains. That is truthful here as well; Batman's villains in "Batman the animated series" are crawly. The Joker and his diabolical evil schemes. The Penguin and his various umbrella weapons. Poison Ivy and how she uses her evil plants confronting Batman. 2-Confront(my personal favorite) and his skilful heads bad caput coin that decides if he does evil deeds or not. The Mad Hatter and his obsession with decision-making others minds. Scarecrow and his constant utilise of fear. Catwoman and her stealth not to mention her feelings for Batman. The Riddler and his listen twisting puzzles. Other great villains in this serial are Killer Croc, Harley QUinn, Rupert Thorne, Clay face, and Mr. Freeze.
I found it crawly how Mark Hamill and Roddy Mcdowell are the voices of the Joker and The Mad Hatter respectfully. I have the utmost respect for Hamill and his role in Star Wars and Mcdowell and his role in Planet of the Apes. So information technology is good to see such notable actors as characters in this show.
In this D.V.D. (volume 1) there are numerous great episodes, many of them 2 parters. Ones that I actually like are "Two-Face", a role episode that explains the origin of how Harvey Paring became Two-Face. Also great is another two part episode titled "Feat of Clay", another two parter telling the tragic story of Matt Hagen who became Clayface. Merely you really cant go wrong with whatever episodes. They are all great.
This is a great show. Must run into. Check out Batman the Animated Series. After watching a few episodes you will see how good it is.

This is my babyhood, this is awesomeness, this is Batman the Animated Series, and I will always honey it
In the nineties animated serial came in all shapes and sizes, but the ones were few and far between that could truly stand the examination of time and remain special and dear to this solar day, and this was a testify that was better than nigh of them! In fact I'd even say that it retains its magic and holds upwards far better than well-nigh of its nineties peers. As a kid I took to it probably from whatever episode I saw first, I seem to vaguely remember information technology being Christmas With The Joker.. Anyway I still love information technology quite simply considering it'southward crawly, and the writing is so great, every bit is the characterisation that included existent emotional complexity and imbued heroes and villains alike with a depth and frequent poignancy that I don't retrieve I've e'er seen washed quite also. The creative minds behind it all really used the mood and grapheme appeal to total effect with all of the chief characters. There was endless rich atmospheric moments and touches to take in and savor in and a lot of the episodes, especially the early ones have many beautifully gothic shadowy silhouettes and images that are so visually striking they are like artwork, the virtually monochromatic visual manner and the way the characters move most gave it the wait of a comic volume in movement, and the result was over again, so very awesome! There are so many top episodes to choose from and positively countless nuances and moments, from the heartbreaking Heart of Ice and Infant Doll, Mad Love, to heed-angle and obviously thrilling fun such as with Peradventure To Dream and The Last Express joy and The Laughing Fish, those are just some of my favourites but whatever given episode will have certain touches of greatness in it, although not even this fine show was free of the odd stinker! Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill, what tin can I even say, together it was they who were the lynchpins of this show. Their masterfully voiced hero and archvillain were always so engaging and entertaining to listen to, and they each embodied those iconic characters and then perfectly that for a lot of people, me included, they accept come to be the platonic versions of them. They both got to fantastically smooth in such different means many times, and they played off each other in that excellent style that Batman and his biggest nemesis should have, and Hamill was so freaking skillful that I think his Joker must take stolen every scene he was in and all of the Joker episodes are a lot of fun, even that dodgy one with the Joker themed casino! In closing I can't say enough skillful things almost this show, it is incredibly deserving of an platonic ten in my eyes. Information technology's a series that inspired a generation and was a fun office of many a babyhood, and it remains riveting and wonderful to watch and more than holds upwards, to me information technology's a supreme animated series that will be forever classic.

A series sparked by the success of the first Batman film and was better than all the Batman films of the 90's.
I saw this show on occasion back in the twenty-four hours and accept to say, like the Superman cartoon that was made during this same era this was a very good show as well. It was a much ameliorate representation of the corny Batman live action bear witness of the 60's with Adam W and Burt Ward and information technology never got as strangely nighttime or corny equally the films of the 90's. You got to come across many of Batman's best foes on the show with the Joker of form taking the lead and this show actually introduced a new villain who became so successful that she made her way into the comics, Harley Quinn. I never knew she was first introduced in this series until reading some stuff as her grapheme is so polished and well washed information technology merely seems that she would have been introduced in comic format commencement. However, a couple of Batman'due south villains kind of drew the short straw and were vastly underused in this series too. Blight is i of these, however at the time he was a new character in the comics so I can see why they did not utilize him quite equally much as others. Though if they can do such a good job with a all new character you would think they could write for a character that had been in a number of comics nigh the cease of this testify'due south run. Another character that was underused and at that place actually is less excuse is the Riddler. I enjoy this character and I retrieve he may of had three or four episodes and none of them really did a good chore of using him. Yet, they did a wonderful task on Mr. Freeze, certainly compared to the horrid way he was portrayed in the movie "Batman and Robin". Mr. Freeze became my favorite villain during this show'due south run bated from the Joker. Speaking of the Joker, Marker Hamill does an outstanding chore of doing the Joker'due south vocalism every bit does the man doing Batman. This is also the best Batman every bit it is just easier to make a person look in excellent shape and withal have him not audio dumb every bit a rock. Michael Keaton looks to dorky as Wayne, Christian Bale looks the office, but some times you simply cannot understand what the man is saying. This one looks the part and sounds the role, to bad they can't discover a guy who looks and sounds half as practiced equally the 1 depicted in this prove. Very expert cartoon, they do non brand them like this anymore.

Just the best!
My number i Sat morn drawing as a child and totally responsible for my love of the Batman grapheme.
The dedication put into this series sets it far to a higher place pretty much any other cartoon of its type. Cartoon heavily on the 'live action' Batman of Tim Burton, but with a greater sheet to explore expressionistic and gothic mode, the animation style is completely unique with marvellously g music to match. Utterly brilliant.

The best form of the tale
Grew upward with B:TAS, unlike the Mike Keaton, and Val Kilmer movies. Kevin Conroy is excellent and will always be the real Bruce Wayne/Batman. B:TAS is the classic stuff you gotta love, and it beats the heck out of the comics and Adam Due west any day! Tin can't wait for DC Classic Collections: Volume 2 of Batman: The Animated Series. If you don't already have it, Volume 1 is outstanding, complete with audio commentary and extras. Plus, now y'all don't take to go up at 2am to lookout man it on Cartoon Network(if it's on anymore)!! Batman: The Animated Series, The Adventures of Batman and Robin, and Batman: Gotham Knights best series always!

one of the most entertaining cartoons on Boob tube in the 90s, and not only for kids!
The first Batman blithe series of the 90s was simple and straight: a TV bear witness not just for kids looking for a skilful ready with their cereal watching Saturday morning toons, but for fans of the comic books, die hard ones to a mistake. Every villain 1 could desire, or maybe even forget to think of, is featured- Joker, Two-Face up, Riddler, Mr. Freeze, Penguin, Catwoman, Scarecrow, Harley Quinn, et all- and for much of the show with really captivating unmarried stories &/or continuing story-lines. And for one who still is in honey with the original Tim Burton films, Joker especially is given nifty showcasing in his episodes (i.due east. Christmas with the Joker, the Last Laugh), and always with a sense of true gallows humor. But in every episode, as perils come and go and characters get added on like Robin or Vicki Vale, there's depth to what are essentially loose-to-tight translations of what came in the comics.
What'south impressive too is that, as an developed at present, I still respect and enjoy the episodes from the original series very much, perchance even on a slightly differed planed than when I was younger and it was just a casual interest. There'due south a pulp quality to the prove that is brought to a richer indicate past the artistic nature of it- it's non only nearly bringing in the cash with the franchise, but expanding and fleshing out the graphic nature of the comics. While nosotros don't get also much that would probably put off the petty ones (just once or twice did a Frank Miller comic get adapted for the series), there's enough to keep the older fans captivated, the ones who were effectually to come across the Adam Westward Batman series (probabbly the king of campy 60s TV) and wonder if there's more than than merely the movies or the new & improved. In fact, it'southward the kind of series that will likely appeal, if just in small spurts or on the occasional viewing, to those who aren't large Batman fans.
As for me, the entire series on DVD volition exist the only way to go, to catch up on all the skilful times with the Dark Knight.

A definitive piece of work in television set blitheness; a legacy that might remain unmatched
"Batman", later dubbed "The Adventures of Batman and Robin" and then rebooted to "The New Adventures of Batman" after a couple years of absence, is probably the most meaning blithe incarnation of the Caped Crusader there ever was. To some, information technology is the definition of who the Batman is, stripped of the extremely complex and often retconned story lines in the comic. And while some comic book purists may scoff at the PG nature of the bear witness, I think that most viewers, both child and adult, found a lot to appreciate in its surprisingly mature storytelling, gorgeous animation and its lasting touch on both animation and well as the overall legacy of the Dark Knight.
"Batman" was the birthplace of the DC Comics blithe universe, which would later spawn additional shows featuring the Man of Steel as well as the Justice League. A far weep from the more lighthearted version of Batman found in the campy quondam television evidence, this Batman had a lot more in common with the 1989 movie, including its early scoring. However, information technology wasn't a cartoon accept on the picture show, rather, information technology was a synthesized take on Batman, bringing in characters from all over Batman's history and sometimes rewriting their history likewise every bit creating all new characters, some of which proved to be then popular they concluded upwardly entering the comic book's universe.
The stories are primarily anthology, with a few two-parters here and there. However, this format works pretty well for the prove and somehow, information technology avoids condign a "villain of the week" premise by creating some very unique stories fifty-fifty while presenting a villain each week. Even early on on, Batman provided a Rashomon-way tale in "P.O.V." with three cops providing their take on what happened when the Batman showed up at a criminal offence scene. Later stories include extended nightmares, fantasies, epics, romances as well as stories that introduce Batman's allies, such as Robin. And although the show is titled Batman, it oft is willing to brand the Bat a supporting grapheme in exploring the other characters in its universe, to great result.
"Batman" also can't exist mentioned without talking about the astonishing fine art. Here is a take on Batman, setting it in a gorgeous strongly art-deco inspired earth, which is immediately center-catching and sets a remarkably consequent tone for the series. Furthermore, one matter you'll chop-chop observe is that the show is dark. Perhaps in themes sometimes, simply especially in colour. In the DVD commentary, yous larn that the prove is really painted on black instead of white, which leads it to accept an incredibly night overall look, which further helps paint the grim earth that the Batman inhabits.
And then in that location's the interim. Kevin Conroy essentially created what would become what nosotros know every bit the Batman's voice, alternating between the lighter playboy Bruce Wayne and the gruff growl of Batman. Marker Hamill (yeah, Luke Skywalker) also helped create one of the definitive versions of the Joker with a laugh that can't be forgotten. Nigh all the interim over the bear witness's long run is remarkable, making it hard to replace these versions of the characters with others, even from the movies.
Halfway through its kickoff run, the show's title was changed and reflected the stronger incorporation of Robin and other supporting characters, but outside of a less interesting title sequence, the show pretty much stayed the same. So the show ended and the team went on to work on the "Superman" series, simply revived "Batman" over again in the "New Adventures". This incarnation revamped the fine art style to exist more athwart, simpler and sometimes much darker--the Scarecrow particularly became rather creepy. The show also changed fifty-fifty more to incorporate extended allies into the story, including a young Tim Drake as Robin, the persistent presence of Barbara Gordon as Batgirl and even the older Dick Grayson makes several appearances as Nightwing. Although I was hesitant to cover the new incarnation at first, it become clear to me that the storytelling equally well every bit the presentation remained stiff, with some peachy episodes that would stand with the best of its previous incarnation.
Because of its impact on blitheness and the titular grapheme, its willingness not to dumb downwards for children, its wise storytelling, its amazing art and the inescapable legacy of entertainment in my life, "Batman" remains one of the greatest animated series that I have ever witnessed. Fifty-fifty today, though its been well over a decade since the show debuted and almost a decade since the "New Adventures" ended, the show remains incredibly engaging. This is definitely a series that endures and mayhap ane that I would continue to watch over the years, as an adult to capeesh the depth of the stories and the gorgeous fine art, and a series that I would non hesitate to share with accordingly aged children. Recommended without reservation. 10/10.

Batman: The Animated Serial the greatest animation serial that came from DC Comics.
Many call the prove the greatest animation serial based off a super hero and it is with strong reason to believe too.
Batman The Animated Series is a hit with both kids and adults that apply to every fan of the Dark Knight.
The show only showcase what Batman is suppose to be and they did a phenomenal job with giving the characters of Batman justice.
It also helps to have a superb cast and crew backside the series to make information technology one of the greatest animation series of the 1990s
Kevin Conroy every bit Batman/Bruce Wayne. When you mind to his functioning to this twenty-four hours no one else has brought a more than excellent task then Kevin Conroy he was born to vox Batman and no ane has even come close to his operation he knows the character perfectly.
Efrem Zimbalist Jr as Alfred Pennyworth was the right choice and he fabricated Alfred a important figure in the serial. Bob Hastings as Commissioner Gordon was the smart choice for the role because he brought the grapheme to attention.
As for the villains in that location was a splendid collection of villains many fan favorites too that made the testify. Mark Hamill as The Joker without question Mark was born to vocalism The Joker and the fact he really puts his whole being into the character makes you respect his performance he just fabricated the villain a more powerful legend.
Richard Moll every bit Harvey Dent/ Two-Face up but his vocalisation work along makes you go WOW. Arleen Sorkin as Harley Quinn this character was original created for this series simply has since go a fan favorite and with good reason. Adrienne Barbeau equally Catwoman/Selina Kyle she was the perfect woman for the job. Diane Pershing as Poison Ivy she help bring a legend to life and brand her a hit with the fans.
The show as well feature a well done task with Mr.Freeze (my favorite Batman Villain), Clayface, Man-Bat, The Penguin and others.
The voice acting is but astounding you tin can tell in the voice performances that each actor really wanted to give it their all in their performances and it shows too. The bandage really brought the characters to life
The Animation is dark and matches the story line for the series each episode raise the bar to try and outdo each other.
So many not bad episodes came from this series some of my favorites would be "Heart of Ice" "Feat of Clay" "Joker's Favor" "Pretty Poison" "The Last Laugh" "The Clock King" "Fright of Victory" "Two- Face up" "Tyger Tyger" "Beware the Gray Ghost" "Terror in the Sky" "Joker's Wild" "Near Got 'im"
The intro for the series besides was the brilliant way to set upwardly the show and it work similar a charm. The writers really brought the serial to life along with many quotes that are regard every bit masterpiece quotes

Best BATMAN show ever, 1 of the best cartoons e'er.
When I was a kid in the '90s I couldn't expect to get home from schoolhouse, grab a snack and get prepare for Batman: The Animated Series at 4 o'clock. Not but is this an amazing Television set prove, simply i of the best incarnations of Batman e'er. This isn't your mommy and daddy's Batman/Super Friends. I have always loved this show and when it came out on DVD I bought every volume and the animated movies it spawned. I love owning these sets and as I write this I'k watching an episode.
While this show was aimed at kids on the surface it was truly written for adults. Information technology deals with many adult themes and situations. Mobsters, murder, schizophrenia, multiple personality disorder, earning the dearest and respect of ones friends and family, Bruce Wayne/Batman fighting his inner demons and the demand for avenging his parents past fighting all the evil-doers of the world, etc.
While the campy-ness of Adam Westward'due south Batman/Super Friends worked perfectly for that testify and era, the darkness of this show makes it a masterpiece. Thanks to Tim Burton'south Batman this show's dark and sometimes scary themes were accepted by the networks merely that is the only thing the two have in common. The activeness sequences are unbeatable, story lines are fantastic, this is the Dark Knight the way he was meant to be seen. If you are new to the Batman lore than this is a nifty place to start...here or with Batman Begins.
The voice-interim is immaculate, Kevin Conroy - Batman, Marker Hamill - Joker, Efram Zimblast - Alfred, Bob Hastings - Gordon, and all the others are wonderful as each character, couldn't ask for a better cast. The structuring of every episode was so well executed you couldn't await to see what would happen in the side by side minute or by next week's episode. Shirley Walker's scoring is unbelievably perfect for this show, she took Danny Elman's theme and made it her own, while writing a lot more original music for the show.
This show even CREATED ane of the most famous and beloved Batman characters e'er, Harley Quinn, love and confidant to the Joker.
Bruce Timm, Paul Dini, Alan Burnett, Kevin Altieri, and Shirley Walker along with every other writer, animator, creator worked together flawlessly to brand this an amazing show and it always will be.
There aren't plenty proficient things I could say about this show, so I will just stop here.
I AM VENGEANCE, I AM THE Nighttime, I...AM...BATMAN!

The 2nd-greatest drawing always (no prizes for guessing what's number one).
Following the massive success of Tim Burton'south "Batman" and "Batman Returns," Warner Bros brought the ethos thus brought to Gotham Metropolis's defender to the small screen, and in the procedure ensured that the truthful owner of the title "Best Batman Ever" would belong non to Michael Keaton, George Clooney, Val Kilmer or fifty-fifty Adam West, but to Kevin Conroy - he voiced both Batman and Bruce Wayne, and his disarming delineation of both sides of the man (Bruce speaks with a higher, more than laid back tone than his alter ego) is only the tip of this show's iceberg.
You lot knew this was a class act from the opening - Batman disappointment a pair of robbers and leaving them for the police, in a principal title all the more effective for never showing the title of the programme (but and then, it didn't need to - when nosotros saw him lit up by lightning at the end we got all the ID we needed). Written with care by the likes of Paul Dini, Randy Rogel (whose "Robin's Reckoning" - a two-part story, and a deserved Emmy winner for Part one - beats "Batman Forever" hands down in its handling of Dick Grayson's life), Michael Reaves and Marv Wolfman, the episodes may have been in children'south slots - although the Play a joke on Network did air some episodes at night initially - just they never treated their discipline affair lightly; dissimilar other attempts before and (ouch) afterward, Batman, Alfred and the rest really had dimension, the villains were truly menacing, and they even pulled off the feat of making Robin worth the while. Information technology as well wasn't afraid to actually kill people - unusually for Western cartoons - as demonstrated in the episode where Clayface met his end in a rainstorm.
The makers also brought dorsum Danny Elfman'south superb Bat-theme from the Burton movies, but only used it over the main titles and end credits - Shirley Walker and her team of composers never used information technology in their scores (and can I just say that it'due south a disgrace that Rhino'southward issued two albums of music from "Batman Beyond" - I decline to call the show by its idiotic international title - and nil from the original show?), with Walker's own Bat-theme taking pole position for the movie "Batman: Mask of the Phantasm" (which she scored) and on the TV show from the third season onwards... though on some prints of the afterward episodes Elfman's end theme has been put on instead. Much as I admire the great man, Walker's music is nothing to be aback of (case in betoken her splendid theme for "Superman"), then I object to that.
The serial set new standards for superhero cartoons (yes, I know the Dark Knight doesn't really have superpowers) that, to their credit, Warner Bros has been trying to live up to e'er since - but good as "Justice League" is, "Batman: The Animated Series" is the real deal. The afterward video movies are also a must (I refuse to sit through "Batman & Robin," in part because I doubt it'll vanquish "Batman and Mr. Freeze: Subzero"). If you lot really recollect the cartoons from the couple of decades before this serial arrived were improve, that's your loss; only one animated serial in history tops this. (It's "The Simpsons," manifestly. What, you idea it was "The Flintstones"?)

The definitive take on Batman for Television receiver
This early '90's Batman cartoon was, and in all likelihood will remain the all-time show animated or otherwise to chronicle the adventure of Batman. The writing was immaculate, the voice acting awesome (Kevin Conroy IS the definitive voice of Batman in my eyes), the shows were exciting and I was constantly thrilled as a young teenager on a constant basis by this show. Seeing them again equally an adult didn't damper my opinion of them in the least. Sure there are nearly ii or 3 episodes that weren't upwards to par, but two or 3 out of 85 episodes (I count "Gotham Knights" as a carve up evidence) is still an extremely amazing ratio. To call up the kids of today are growing up on that crap cartoon known as "The Batman" just sickens me.
